Unity construction homes fall within the classifications relating to Precast Reinforced Concrete. Precasting is used to produce standard concrete products under factory conditions. The moulds are purpose-made, often incorporating vibrators to compact the concrete. Units may be cured under normal environmental conditions or by accelerated methods. Pre-tensioning may be used to produce prestressed units.
